FEES Fund would like to thank Andrea and her colleagues for these generous gifts to mark her retirement and her ongoing commitment and support for young people.

FEES Fund stands for ‘Fi’s Enrichment Education Support and is a registered charity (1182839) set up in memory of Fiona (Fi) Braidwood. Fi died in a car accident close to home in March 2016 just before her 18th Birthday. Andrea is a close friend of the Braidwood family and watched Fi grow up. As a founding trustee, she has provided invaluable advice on the set-up and development of our education charity.

Fi loved learning and benefited greatly from the opportunity of extracurricular enrichment activities in the community where she lived and at the schools she attended. In your work with young people, you will know the benefits these extracurricular activities bring but financial pressures mean many will miss out.

FEES Fund gives grants to young people who live in families where money is tight so, they enjoy activities of their choosing. The grants aim to inspire a love of learning, build new skills, nurture young people’s talents, raise aspirations and create opportunities that wouldn’t have been possible without this funding.

In the past year, we have awarded grants for school residential trips, international scout and guide camps, football clubs, music, horse riding, ice-skating and golf lessons. Your kind gift as Andrea retires will help us to impact even more young people.

If you know a young person who would benefit, do apply for a grant or let them know where to find us. If you are making a gift today, thank you so much on behalf of Andrea and all the trustees.
